Congrats to our Perkins Chorale and Wind Ensemble. Both received Superior ratings at the Ohio Music Education Association district competition and qualified for State. The Symphonic Band and Concert Choir also participated at the district competition.

 

Upcoming Events and Important Dates

  • Senior Class is selling Perkins Pirate Wristbands for $1. Help to raise money by purchasing a wristband. Available in Mrs. Jen Galloway’s Office or at lunch.
  • Pancakes The Pirate Way, Saturday, 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. – Come enjoy breakfast and celebrate Perkins Pride. Chris Cakes will be cooking and students and staff will assist with entertaining and serving. The event is being hosted by the PEA and OAPSE. It will be held in the Perkins High School cafeteria. Breakfast will be $7 for 11 and over, and $4 for children ages 5-10, and free for children 4 and under. Tickets will be available at the door.
  • Spring Athletic Fees are due to the Athletic office by Friday, March 27.
  • Spring Break, Friday, April 10 to Sunday, April 19
  • Yearbooks are on sale NOW.  $65 until March 31. Yearbooks can be ordered at Jostens.com or a form can be picked up in the main office.

  • State Wrestling Championship, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, at Schottenstein Center in Columbus

Perkins Scoreboard

  • Indoor Track State Championships, Sara Skaff, 12th place with a new PR in the 3200, the relay team of Sara Skaff, Hailey Conner, Mira Sweat, Kamryn Ohly, Olivia Schnittker placed 11th in the triple jump and 27th in the high jump, and Kaylyn Barnett placed 18th in the shot.
  • Wrestling, Div. II District meet, Team, second place with 132.5 points,  Billy Smith (106) finished in 4th place, Max Oprzadek (120) finished in 4th, JD Thom (138) finished in 2nd, Cole Weatherly (160) finished in 4th, Tai Carter (182) finished in 3rd, and Sam McNulty (285) finished in 3rd place, qualify for state. Will Blevins (113) finished in 5th place and will be an alternate at state.
